From a writer and a teacher of writing
My post is about gratitude, too. I like the imagery in your poem of freshly cut grass and the scent of lilacs. (I can smell it.)
When we pause to be grateful, we can find so many things that are right in our life. I love the way you structured this poem.
Well-timed, Deb! My intention for today is gratitude. I am grateful for YOU! Enjoy the gifts of the day. Anne L.
A good reminder to stop and "see" what good things are around, Deborah. Thank you!
It is always a good thing to slow down and think about all of the good things in life.
I love your list. Lilacs bring me to my childhood home and such fond memories. I am grateful for those as well.
A sweet and gentle poem - and one rich in sensory detail, too.
I love this. Great images! I'd like to try this next week, maybe.... a gratitude poem. I should write one every evening. :)
