PLAY-TITUDE 27: PLAYING WITH WORDS

Playing with words
is the most fun for me!
Squishing, stretching, springing
words.
Silly, somber, savoring
words.
Words that unite
Words that divide.
Playing with words
is my fun.

Playing with words
is the most fun for me!
Climbing into my sandbox
with words and digging
to find the right nuance.
To create with my toys--
using craft and intuition--
to make to develop.
Playing with words
is my work.

Playing with words
is the most fun for me!
Starting an adventure
with an idea.
Then going for a ride
with words in the driver’s seat,
Taking me to a whole new place—
The words surprise even me!
Playing with words
is my gift.

PLAY-TITUDE #27:   WORK, ADVENTURE, FUN—WORDS TAKE YOU THERE!

Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for dedicating space and time for writers and teachers of writing to come together to share ideas, practice and life experience.

  1. I love that 'climbing into my sandbox with words/and digging...'. A nice poem for Friday, Deb. (FYI-you forgot to add your link at TWT-so I'm adding it!)

Perfect - that's what it feels like to play with words, and to enjoy the process.
