What a good month this has been! All of us have explored our writing in
depth. I have explored my relationship
with play and have discovered when my play-titude happens, lightness and joy
are the result. These are toys in my toy
box that bring out my play-titude!
PLAY-TITUDE’S TOYS
Play to the beat of
the music—sing
Laugh from deep
inside your belly
Be spontaneous
Build your own adult
playground
Dance with abandon
Dream!
Notice the world
Fashion with beauty
and purpose
Get your hands dirty—fun
is in the mess
Play with words
Cook without a recipe
Create!
Play alone
Read a book
Go on a date—just with
you
Take a long bath
Play with a pet
Renew!
Play with others
Tell a joke…tell a
story
Share food with a
friend
Play with a child to
see wonder
Surround yourself
with children and know joy
Touch!
Find a rock and make
a friend
Create and celebrate
the rituals of life
Be grateful for all
Celebrate the big
Celebrate the small
Celebrate!
I have known playfulness and each
of her sisters this month. Having an
attitude open to exploring playfulness has allowed me to find the gold. For this I am grateful.
PLAY-TITUDE #30: CHOOSE PLAY-TITUDE!
Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for dedicating space and time for writers and teachers of writing to
come together to share ideas, practice and life experience.
Yes, we need to build our own adult play grounds! It has been a good month and the blogs were so interesting and different. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed at how many I wanted to read, but at times just could not. So enjoyed reading each of yours...positive and fun. Hope to see you on Tuesdays.
ReplyDeleteJackie, I love this comment. Congratulations on a successful month. And thank you for all of your warm comments about my blog. See you tomorrow. The Tuesdays begin again with no room for a breath.
DeleteI think writing is the one place I continue to play as an adult. This is a great way to describe it.
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a place I play too. I am expanding my play list though.
DeleteWonderful to see the play-titudes all summarized! Great list to refer to.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Beverley. It will definitely be a go-to list for me.
DeleteGreat summary of your writing and goal-setting for this month, Deb. I hope the excitement you have shared "plays" on!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. Writing in this way has been remarkably productive and insightful. Thanks for your support through the month.
DeleteI love the way you summed up the concept of play-titudes with your final March slice.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined us again this year, Deb. Hope to see you around on Tuesdays.
