This Lent I have been developing a daily habit of writing gratitudes. Today I express gratitude in in a simple poem.
First geese of spring
Freezer-made meals
Hugs
Words on the page
Stillness at dawn
Family
Productive work
Luxurious baths
Friendships
Seeing small moments
throughout my day
differently.

And I am grateful for our hosts at Two-Writing Teachers. A big thank you to Stacey, Tara, Dana, Betsy and Anna. Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for
dedicating space and time for teachers and teachers of literacy to come
together to share ideas, practice and life experience.
Love this way of sharing your gratitudes! I echo much of what is on your list.
ReplyDeleteThis month of slicing is helping me work towards the last gratitude you mention. Grateful for this community. Beautiful way to share your gratitudes.

ReplyDeleteLuxurious baths are my nightly get-aways and have been for years. Such simple things that bring us peace and pleasure. Also, I left you a reply/comment on Margaret's blog. I would like to use your response in a future slice if you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteYes, Leigh Anne. Feel free to use my response. I have been thinking about it all day and I will probably have a more full response as I write tonight for tomorrow.
DeleteYour gratitude poem is like a meditation.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely words....especially the last ones...'seeing small moments throughout my day differently'. It makes me stop to check my small moments and look at them differently...and what surprises we can find. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
