I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN THE WINNER, BUT...

Today I spent much of my time exploring.  In this March challenge I have written daily and have visited and responded to between three to ten blogs a day.  Yesterday and today I explored—and what richness and variety awaited me.  Thanks, Ruth and Stacey for this challenge for us new–to-blogging bloggers.  And thank you for hosting us on this site.

I may not have been the winner,

but, I sure did win!

An ordinarily extraordinary kind of day.

As I fell asleep and woke up

I followed blogs.

Between the pedicure and yoga

I followed blogs.

After coffee with a friend

I followed blogs.

After dinner and between bathroom breaks

I followed blogs.

Blissfully, peacefully—without guilt or remorse,

I followed blogs.

I explored and meandered

 filling my mind with words of others.

I explored and lingered offering

my words to support the words of others.

An ordinary-extraordinary day.

words of

robins and snow still here—

glimmers of spring.

Words of

poetry and prose

captions and lists.

Words of

challenge and Ted Talks,

State tests and ideas.

Ordinary-extraordinary

words of

loss, sadness and heartbreak.

Words of

joy in being a new mother to a sweet baby.

Words of

vacation and spring break or longing

for a soon to be spring break.

Words of

weariness and stretching beyond limits—

craving rest.

Ordinary-extraordinary

words of

paper weights and tag sales

of wine and cookie jars.

Words of passion and silliness

of pain, of joy.

Words of music taken

back to first love.

Words of books read

of dreams lost

of hopes fulfilled.

Words

                feeding me.

Words

                calling me.

Words

                offered to others.

Words

                given.

I may not have been the winner,

but did I ever win!
