When I first moved to Rochester, I was told it didn’t have a
spring. For many Rochestarians, March is
the most dismal month. This morning I
woke up to several inches of snow. We hear
of warm weather to our south—of shorts and tee shirts and people celebrating
spring. Spring does come to Rochester. It comes in slow and quiet celebration. The
Rochester spring is slow but very noticeable—if one looks and listens
carefully…

Short-lived snowstorms

ReplyDeletebeautiful picture for my soul to remember today...thank you for your words
Spring is not the same every where. Thanks for that reminder. Slowly spring creeps into each place and the final bloom will be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou have shared the beauty of a slow spring. Your words touched my heart and I could visualize each stanza. I loved this!!! My nephew went to college in Rochester...but growing up in Chicago...I guess he was used to slow springs. :-) Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteShort lived snow storms indeed! We've got two more storms in our forecast in Michigan. But today I went out without my coat! Spring!!
