In Pursuit of the Hut

I am taking a long weekend to pursuit the hut.  Literally.  A friend asked me to join her for a weekend road trip to Hilton Head where she is looking at a small villa to be her hut.  So I am living vicariously with her this week as we leave Rochester to travel to Hilton Head.  Lots of driving for a long weekend, but I will have a full day to look at the hut, walk on the beach, dip my toes (maybe more) in the ocean, feel the sun on my skin and smell the salt water.   And we will have many hours in the car to laugh and talk while entering that “hut” space.  Crazy.  Good.  Crazy good.

I am grateful for our hosts.  A big thank you to Stacey, Tara, Dana, Betsy and Anna from Two Writing Teachers for dedicating space and time for teachers and teachers of literacy to come together to share ideas, practice and life experience.

  1. I love the last three sentences; they say something separately, but together they are powerful. What an exciting trip for you and your teaser about Thelma and Louise says a lot about your relationship. I wish you a good -- a crazy good -- weekend!

  2. Wonderful! It will be fun to hear how the weekend goes and if this is close to the hut in your dreams. But whatever...the drive down will be full of fun. Have safe travels. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
